Where to Eat...

Breakfast

Some of my cousins and I went around Nashville one day. Before heading to the Belmont Mansion, we first ate at House of Pizza. The restaurant opens at 10 AM from Mondays-Fridays and 11 AM on Saturdays. This is where we ate New York style pizza. The Parmesan roll and calzone are also among our favorites.

Lunch

Lunch at Demo's Restaurant was hearty and very satisfactory. They start serving lunch at 11 AM until 3 PM. The Hamburger Steak and Fettuccine Imperial both at $5.95 are so toothsome. One of my cousins tried the Seafood Pasta Salad giant Rib-eye. The presentation is neat and excellent and the wait staff is very mannerly.

Dinner

My cousins and I went to The Stock-yard Restaurant for dinner. It's at 902 2nd Avenue North and just very near The Peanut Shop. We enjoyed a scrumptious dinner of crab cakes for appetizer, Porterhouse Steak, a charcoal-grilled prime filet and sirloin and Southern Pecan Pie for the finish. The restaurant is recognized as among the top ten steak houses in US, serving cooked to order USDA Prime Beef steaks over hickory charcoal grill. I love the interior details of the restaurant, the Italian pink marble hallways with cherry wood trimming.

What to Do...

Morning

During my Nashville day with cousins, we went to Belmont Mansion and joined the 10 AM tour. Belmont Mansion is actually the largest house museum in Tennessee. We walked inside the 16 rooms at the Mansion, giving us an up-close experience. The one hour tour around the largest house museum was remarkably breathtaking. Just seeing the extravagant rooms and furniture were jaw- dropping.

Afternoon

Our visit to The Peanut Shop is unforgettable. I spent a lot buying some gifts, nuts and chocolates but I don't regret a thing. The Peanut Shop has all the peanut products you can think of. We bought bags of Macadamia nuts, Cinnamon Almonds and Pecans. Other than that, I bought gift items such as the cowboy hat with bandana worth $15, a gift box of chocolate peanuts and a gift tin with various chocolates and nuts. My cousins bought lots of milk and dark chocolates and yogurt products. If you want to buy some of these, head to 9 Arcade and you'll find The Peanut Shop.

Evening

As soon as we were done with dinner, we went to Wildhorse Saloon. It opens at 4:30 PM every Monday and 11 AM every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. We played pool at their new Billiards room on the 3rd floor. There are dart boards as well. Drinks and dinner are also available.
